Ants:
Ants are some of the most common pests and because of this I am confidant in saying that (even if you are three years old and can’t read) you know what an ant is.
There are a metric ton of ant types and sub types but here are some typical Boise ants you may have encountered:
Carpenter Ants:
Carpenter ants are a larger breed of ant you love to burrow in dead dry wood. They are similar in this habit to termites though unlike termites they don’t eat the wood.
Pavement ants:
Pavement ants are extremely common in the suburbs named after their tendency to build nests under the asphalt or pavement.
Odorous house ant:
Tapinoma Sessile also known as the odorous house ant, the coconut ant, stink ant, or sugar ant. If you have an ant problem they are probably it. House ant colonies often have many queens and are very large so just finding the queen and killing her with borax won’t necessarily work in favor of destroying your ant problem.
